About Me
David McKenney joined Brewer Yacht Sales in 1997 at the Brewer Sakonnet Marina; in 1999 he opened the Brewer sales office at Wickford Cove.
A manufacturer's representative at eighteen, David provided custom molded and machined components to the marine electronic industry. He continued in sales representing electronics distributors providing the same marine oriented customer base with electrical and electronic components for over a decade. He joined Brewers after owning his own business buying and selling companies and their production equipment domestically and abroad.
David is a member of Yacht Broker Association of America and has earned his Certified Professional Yacht Broker designation. He is the recipient of multiple awards from Brewer Yacht Sales including Broker of the Year, Most Valuable Broker, Team Player, and Customer Satisfaction Award.
He was introduced to boating as an infant (his father was a Sales Manager for Mercury); he can't recall ever not having a boat for water skiing, fishing or sailing. Growing up in Saunderstown and later moving to Wickford, he had opportunities to crew on sport fishing boats and campaign racing sailboats on a regular schedule.
